Astronomy

  • Check here if your Girl Scout has a telescope they'd like to bring to camp and learn how to use. All telescopes must be in a protective bag or case and labeled with the Girl Scout's name.

*Camp will have telescopes - it's just fun to know how to use yours!

  • Check here if your Girl Scout has a digital camera (ideally one with the ability to manually set exposure). All cameras must be in a protective bag or case and labeled with the Girl Scout's name.

  • A lot of modern smart phones have an astrophotography mode or can have an app such as Camera FV-5 (Android) or NightCap (Apple) installed on them which allows control of camera settings. Check here if your Girl Scout would like to bring their phone to camp to experiment. Please note that all cell phones will be locked up when not being used for photography. Please label the phone case with your Girl Scout's name.

Waterfront

There will be opportunities for campers to enjoy waterfront activities, including swimming.  Please let us know your comfort with your camper's swimming ability.  All campers will also do a swim test with our lifeguard.   If either you or our lifeguard is not comfortable with your camper's swimming ability, your camper will be required to wear a life jacket while enjoying the waterfront.

Camp Activities

While our camp is an immersive astronomy experience, we will also work in traditional camp activities based on the group's interests.  Please check your camper's favorite 3-4 activities.
